Your Union. Your Voice. Your Strength.

CSEA Unit 8150 | Putnam County

A New Year. New Energy. One Stronger Union.

As your newly elected CSEA Unit 8150 leadership team, we are excited to hit the ground running. Our focus is simple. Show up for our members, protect your rights, and build a stronger, more connected workforce across Putnam County.

Big things are on the horizon, and we are committed to making sure every member feels informed, supported, and heard.

“When one of us needs help, we all step up.”

Unity Makes Us Strong

A union is only as strong as the people in it. That means looking out for one another, lifting each other up, and standing together through every challenge.

There is no room for division. Respect, support, and teamwork are how we move forward.

We are not just coworkers.
We are CSEA brothers and sisters.

Protecting You and Your Contract

Your leadership team is here to protect your rights under the CSEA and Putnam County contract.

We are committed to:
• Ensuring the contract is followed fairly and consistently
• Supporting members through workplace concerns
• Answering questions about policies and benefits
• Representing you when you need union support

If something does not feel right, reach out. That is what we are here for.

“If something doesn’t feel right, call us. That’s what your union is for.”

Get Involved. Be Part of the Change.

This is your union.

Not just officers. Not just meetings. You.

If you have ideas, energy, or simply want to help make things better, we encourage you to step forward.

Think you can do it better? Team up.
Have a great idea? Join us.
Want to support your coworkers? Get involved.

We are forming membership committees and looking for volunteers to help shape events, outreach, and initiatives across the county. The more voices we have, the stronger we become.

“This is your union. Your voice matters.”

Education and Growth. Level Up With CSEA

Your union is not only here when problems arise. We are here to help you grow.

CSEA offers trainings, classes, and educational opportunities that help you build skills, advance your career, and succeed both on and off the job.

Lunch and Learn sessions and additional workshops will be launching soon. If you are ready to level up, we’ve got you covered.

Ask us about upcoming courses and programs.

Eyes on the Road, Not on You

We recently spent time addressing questions about the cameras installed in county vehicles and buses. A few of our CSEA brothers and sisters raised a fair concern. Are these cameras watching us inside the cab?

Let’s clear that up.

Yes, there are both outward and inward facing cameras. But they are not there to listen in, monitor conversations, or catch anyone doing something wrong.

There is no audio recording.

Supervisors are not sitting somewhere watching footage, and they do not have direct access. The system is protected and only reviewed at a higher level if there is a serious situation like an accident or major safety issue where facts are needed to protect the driver.

The focus is safety. Not surveillance.

The outward cameras help document road conditions, traffic incidents, and anything that happens outside the vehicle. The inward cameras WILL NOT BE ON. We cannot stress that enough.

Simply put, it helps protect you.

For added peace of mind, these interior cameras which are not in use are meant to have lens caps. You can use them whenever you want more privacy & piece of mind.. If your vehicle does not have one, you can temporarily cover the lens with tape or a small note without damaging it. Let us know and we will work on getting you a proper cap.

You should feel comfortable taking your breaks, having conversations, and doing your job without worrying about being recorded.

We pushed for clarity on this because your privacy matters just as much as your safety.

At the end of the day, it’s simple.
Go to work safe. Go home safe.
